I think you might be spreading yourself too thin. If Medium has given you 100 followers, I would focus on this platform and maybe get rid of Substack. I focus on my blog and direct traffic there from my Facebook author page and also my personal Facebook (friends). It has taken a long time to get 200 followers, so you are not alone. I find that Instagram is useless for blogging. Twitter works after you know someone well from many conversations.
How are you? Thanks for always commenting and supporting. There are no words to thank.
Today I have 87 followers on Medium. I get between 86 to 89 followers. I even subscribed to the premium for a month, when I won a ko-fi coffee from a reader. The subscription is very cheap, I know. However, here in Brazil, it multiplies the value of the dollar, on average, by 5.5 times. But I'll be back.
On Instagram, I've been posting just so I don't leave it abandoned. I know that absolutely nothing comes from there. Especially because it is aimed at texts in Portuguese, which most Brazilians do not read and it is not common to receive messages like: “when it comes out in a movie, let me know”.
As soon as I started using the hashtags #WritingCommunity #WIP #mediumwriters it got a good response, I even reached 680 followers. And it does not leave this level. That's why I've been investing a lot there and publicizing it when the #writerslift messages appear.
But I'm going to continue, as I said this afternoon, I don't have time to start over.
There aren't enough words to thank you for all the strength and words of encouragement you've given me, even though you've never met me. Gratitude.
The idea is precisely to produce more content in English, because unfortunately here in Brazil, the vast majority are lazy. It's not hard to hear or have to read when you submit something for reading: "when will it come out on film?" Or, “can you send the abstract”? Unfortunately, these things are discouraging.
Yes! I believe engagement comes with time, it's true. But I am a person who suffers from anxiety. And it's not little. Then you imagine, after clicking on publish in a text, the will is to start skipping messages, likes, and best of all, proposals.
Thank you very much and I also wish you much success. Also, I look forward to the release of your book.
There is a bank here in Brazil called Sicredi. In reality, this company is a Credit Union and its slogan is: “Together we are stronger”.
You can count on me, it will be a pleasure to exchange ideas and information. Only I think I have more to learn from you than the other way around. But I'm always available.

Hey Fernando,
It's awesome that you've started using Substack. You're a good writer and you are significantly improving in your quest to write in English.
Engagement builds over time. You've got to cut through the noise first, and it's noisy out here.
Congratulations on what you've achieved so far. You'll get to heights you didn't know were possible before. I see you putting in the work.
Hello Wambui!

That's what friends do.
Hitting your DMs in a few. If I forget, would you be kind to hit mine?
There's something I'd love to talk about with you.
